Clifford M. Rhodes

Clifford M. Rhodes, age 74 of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Chuck Taylor will officiate.Interment will be in the Stubbs Cemetery. Mr. Rhodes was born on May 30, 1935 in Wilcox County.He was son of the late David T. Rhodes and Maybelle Ashe Rhodes.He was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church and was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Supervisor in Shipping, Planning, and Transportation Division.He was preceded in death by a brother-David Edward Rhodes. Surviors include:wife-Carolyn Rhodes of Abbeville, step-son-Tim (Patricia) Tucker of Cumming, sons-Clifford Marion Rhodes, Jr. and Rayford David Rhodes both of Unadilla, daughter-Tina (Bryan) Pence of Macon and brother-Eugene Rhodes of Baytown, Texas, 3-grandchildren-Tyler Asbell and Cody and Caitlin Tucker and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, October 31, 2009 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
