Wyona J. Holliday

Wyona J. Holliday, age 83, of Pitts, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Wilson Hospice House in Albany. She was a retired dietician with the Pineview Nursing Home, a farmer at heart and a great homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where she had also taught Sunday School and Bible School. Wyona was born December 17, 1938, in Pitts, Georgia, to the late Sam Thompson and Audrey Massey Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Holliday; a son, Scottie Holliday; a sister, Kathy Bodrey; and four brothers, Donnie, Recial, Hermice, and Kenneth Thompson. Survivors include her sons, Mike Holliday (Maranda), Stacy Holliday (Shirley), and Keith Holliday (Dana) all of Pitts; one brother, Loys Thompson (Marilyn) of Pineview; and her grandchildren, Trent, Audrey, and Will Holliday, and Kaylee White. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25th, at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Pleasant View Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trent and Will Holliday, Lance, Ty, David, and Mark Thompson, and Jason Harvey. Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
