Wilma Ruth Rich

Wilma Ruth Rich, age 88 of 3843 Hwy. 159, Pitts, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 31st in the Big Creek Baptist Church.Reverend Ed Reeves and Reverend Wayne McCrimmon will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Big Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Rich was born on June 9, 1924 in Rebecca, Ga.She was daughter of the late Kenneth Nutt and Rose Smith Nutt.She was a homemaker and a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church.She was once named Citizen of the Year in Irwin County.She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and Christian.She was widower of the late Julian T. Rich and was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Rich and a brother, Dennis Nutt. Survivors include:Sons-Jackie Rich of Niceville, Florida and Lloyd (Brenda) Rich of Newnan, Ga., brothers-Willard Kenneth “Junior” Nutt of Pitts, Ralph “Pete” Nutt of Cordele,sisters-Erma Massey of Pitts and Janelle “Peggy” Wallace of Pitts, 3-grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, July 30th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
