William P. Walker

William P. Walker, age 77 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 5th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Walker was born on December 21, 1941 in Rome, Ga.having lived in Abbeville since 1997 moving from Fitzgerald.He was son of the late William Maurice Walker and Frances Boozer Walker.He was a retired Captain with the Abbeville Police Department and was of the Methodist Faith.He served his country with honor in the United States Army. Survivors include:wife-Virginia Horne Walker of Abbeville, sons-William Preston Walker, Jr. of Fitzgerald and John Maurice Walker of Fitzgerald, daughters-Wendy Ann Walker Kent of Fitzgerald and Dovie Frances Walker Corfield of Freedom, Pennsylvania, sister-Sandra Jean Walker Grimes of Burnsville, NC, 15-grandchildren and 13-great-grandchildren.
