William Floyd Thompson

William Floyd Thompson, age 73 of Abbeville, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 24th in the Cannonville Baptist Church.Reverend Roy Taylor and Reverend Joel Owens will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Thompson was born on January 7, 1942.He was son of the late Frank Troy Thompson and Alene Whittington Thompson.He was a member and deacon of Cannonville Baptist Church.He was retired from the State of Georgia Department of Transportation Maintenance Department. Survivors include:wife-Cindy Thompson of Abbeville, son-William Craig (Bonita) Thompson of Abbeville, daughter-Kimberly Ann “Kim” Clark of Abbeville, sisters-Hazel Taylor of Jonesboro and Frances Burgamy of Cusseta, grandchildren-Dustin Lee Clark, Shala Shiann Clark, Brianna Nicole Clark, Devin Allen Clark, Daniel Troy Thompson, Daniel Lee Clark, Brantley Kole Clark and Madelynn Grace Thompson. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, May 23rd in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
