William Harris Miller

William H. Miller age 81 of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in the Tabernacle Baptist Church.Reverend Ralph Griffin and Reverend James Spires will officiate.Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born on October 29, 1928 in Wilcox County.He was son of the late William Thomas Miller and Alice Rutledge Miller.He was retired from Robins Air Force Base in the Department of Defense and Electronic Division.He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.He was the Rochelle Municipal Court Judge and former member of the Rochelle City Council.He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during World War II. Survivors include:wife-Betty Jo Miller of Rochelle, sons-William H. Miller, Jr. of Rochelle and Michael David Miller of Cordele, step-sons-Michael Mygrant of Sufalls, South Dakota, Jimmy Mygrant and Robin Mygrant both of Cordele, step-daughter-Janet Addison of Abbeville, 13-grandchildren and 7-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or the family requests that memorials be made to the Memorial Fund, GA. Sheriff’s Youth Home, P. O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, Ga. 30281 Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
