William Elmer Gibbs

William Elmer Gibbs, age 72 of Cochran, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the Bryant Nursing Center in Cochran.A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29th in the Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle with Reverend Ronnie Powell officiating.Visitation will be after the service at the cemetery. Mr. Gibbs was born on June 28, 1946 in Abbeville.He was son of the late William Marion Gibbs and Lela Layfield Gibbs.He was a self-employed farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include:wife-Pat Gibbs of Cochran, step-son-Tracy Wiles of Hawkinsville, daughters-Gayla Gibbs of Perry and step-daughter-Stephanie Southerland of Perry, sisters-Betty Jean Spivey of Newnam, Eunice Barnes of Perry, Patricia Head of Butler and Elizabeth Hayslip of Cordele.
