William Glenn Addison

William Glenn Addison, age 71, of Abbeville, Georgia, went to his eternal home on June 22, 2023, after an extended illness.  He was born in Collinsville, Alabama, on June 4, 1952, to the late Lottie Paul Addison and Audrey Alleen Addison (Mahan).  He was known to many as “Sweet Willie”, and he lived up to that name.  He loved with all his heart and worked doing physically laborious jobs most of his life, but he never complained.  He will be missed greatly, and his passing will forever leave an unfillable gap in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lonnie Paul and Marvin Lee Addison; and two sisters, Stella Rebecca Addison and Lola Mae Powell.  He leaves behind two sisters, Florrie Lena Williams and Tenne Jeanette Sutton (Herman), along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24th, at 3:00 pm. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bobby Pope officiating.  A visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 pm. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Jeremy Ratliff, Justin Ratliff, Graham Keen, Matthew McGuffin, John Williams, and Chris Dunagan.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tift Regional Medical Center and Hospice of South Georgia and Langdale Hospice House nursing staff.
