Wendell Pierre Fisher

Mr. Wendell Pierre Fisher, 93, of Abbeville passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Northside Villa, Rochelle.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22nd in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be from 1-2 PM in the chapel before the service.Rev. David Fisher will officiate.Interment will be private. Mr. Fisher was born in Abbeville on December 11, 1926,the son of the late Pierre and Maude Lamb Fisher.After graduating from Abbeville High School on June 4th 1945, he served his country with honor in the United States Army from June 1945 to February 10, 1947. After Mr. Fisher was honorably discharged from the army, he was employed at Robins Air Force Base, retiring January 1, 1988 with 38 years of faithful service.He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and the Western Light Masonic Lodge #272. Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Oliver Fisher and his second wife, Christine Moore Fisher, two sisters, Delma Edison and Mary Sewell, and one brother, Alfred Fisher.He is survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
