Wayne Harvey, age 73 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8th in the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.Reverend Jonathan Brown, Dr. Donnie Sutton and Reverend Debbie Cone will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Harvey was born on June 7, 1942 in Abbeville, Georgia.He was son of the late Lester H. Harvey and Christine Sutton Harvey.He was a self-employed farmer and member of the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.He was a member of the Wilcox County Farm Bureau and was preceded in death by a brother, Tommie C. Harvey in 1963. Survivors include:wife-Janet Harvey of Abbeville, son-Doug (Bonnie) Harvey of Abbeville, daughter-Lorie Harvey (Brett Moore) of Birmingham, Alabama, brother-Jerry (Kathy) Harvey of Abbeville, sisters-Ginny Liles of Macon and Margie (Mark) Simmons of Oglethorpe and 2-grandchildren-Avery and Addison Hoven. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, August 7th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
