Verlon McBryant, age 77 of Rebecca, formerly of Pitts, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in the Emory Hospital Midtown, Atlanta, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 4th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10-11 AM in the chapel. Reverend Britt Peavy will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the New Bethel Cemetery in Pitts. Mr. McBryant was born on March 7, 1939 in Rochelle, Ga.He was son of the late Joe C. McBryant and Luvina Gillman McBryant.He was a logger with Clary Logging Company. Survivors include:wife-Frances McBryant of Rebecca, step-sons-Joel (Treena) Laughterof Brevard, NC and Derrick (Davida) Laughter of Pisgah Forest, NC, step-daughter-Sheila (Marvin) Holland of Pisgah Forest, NC, brother-DeWayne McBryant of Rochelle, sister-Nell Murray of Cordele, 6-grandchildren and 3-great-grandchildren.
