Tony D. Walker, age 68 of 450 Hope Rd., Pitts, Ga., formerly of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, April 25, 2009 in the Greenscreek Cemetery in Petal, Mississippi. Visitation will be at 2:30 PMuntil 3:30 PMat the cemetery. Mr. Walker was born on June 7, 1940 in Forrest County Mississippi.He was son of the late Charlie Horace Walker and Vida Mae Shows Walker.He had lived in Pitts, Georgia for the past 4 years.He was a retired Insurance Director and was of the Baptist Faith.He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. Survivors include:wife-Martha Walker of Pitts, sons-Shane Walker of Biloxi, Mississippi and Tracy and Martie Walker both of Vicksburg, Mississippi, daughter-Ree Payne of Pitts, brothers-Charles, David, Randy, and Carvis Walker all of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, sister-Teresa Stourd of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 10-grandchildren and 1-great-grandson. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle, Georgia and Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi are in charge of arrangements.
