Tommy Sapp

Tommy Sapp, age 79, of Abbeville, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, at his residence.  He was a city mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years, and had worked for the Wilcox County Board of Education for 10 years.  Tommy was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who like to hunt, fish, and work in his garden, and loved his grandkids.

Tommy was born July 8, 1943, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Thomas F. Sapp and Norma Veal Sapp.  He is survived by his wife, Diane Sapp; his son, Tom Sapp; his daughter, Laura Goble (Stacy); his sister, Elaine Sheppard; his grandchildren, Statham Sapp (Lindsay), Langston Sapp (Samantha), Shelton Goble (Lanie), Gannon Goble, Tomie Jones (Cree); and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 16 ^th , at 11:00 a.m. in the Abbeville First Baptist Church.  A eulogy will be given by Aubrey Wilson.
