Tibbie G. Futch

Tibbie G. Futch, age 87 of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 in the Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 15th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 PM in the chapel.Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mrs. Futch was born on November 6, 1930 in Rochelle, Ga.She was the daughter of the late Harvey Gordon and Hassie Harvey Gordon.She was retired as a Social Worker with the Wilcox County Department of Family and Children Services.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thurmond Futch in 2017 and a son, George Futch in 2007. Survivors include:son-Ed (Deborah) Futch of Rochelle, daughters-Beverly F. Johnson of Pitts and Deborah (Kenneth) Baggett of Colledge and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Futch of Rochelle, brother-Ralph (Betty) Gordon of Rochelle, sister-Marlene Cason of Rochelle and 9-grandchildren and 18-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are:Jimmy Gibbs, Lee Baggett, Bradley Baggett, Kevin Cox, Scott Langford and Scott Fuller. Prelude and postlude will be played by Norma Jean Wilkerson.Lisa Fuller will sing "Amazing Grace". Frazier and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
