Thomas Ray Rust

March 3, 1945 – June 2, 2024

Thomas Ray Rust of Pineview, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. Tom, as he was known, was a wonderful, loving father that cared deeply for his family and grandchildren. He was such a kind gentleman that saw the positive in everyone that he met. During his career, he worked with Electrostatic Painting Equipment. He was also a proud Veteran, having served in the Navy. He was a member of The Oaks Community Church in Pineview, Georgia.

Tom was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of the late Charles Philip Rust and Ruth Mcniece Rust. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Phyllis Risher, Connie Faulkner, Betty Heueisen, John Rust, and his father-in-law, John Wesley Dawson, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angelia D. Rust, his children; Tommy Rust (Sarah), Johns Creek, Chris Rust (Kristen), Cummings, John Thomas Rust (Kayla), Hernando, MS, Wesley Rust (Abbe) and Jeannia Rust (Michael), Hawkinsville, his grandchildren; Conner Rust, Blake Rust, Brandon Rust, Harper Rust, Parker Rust, John Tatum Rust, Kye Rust, Kaden Rust, Addison Maddox, and Thomas Maddox, his sister, Barbara Rust of Plainfield, Indiana, his mother-in-law, Jeannette P. Dawson of Hawkinsville, GA, and his very special friend, Amanda Steed of Rochelle, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tom’s wishes were to be cremated and no service. His family will have a private memorial at a later date. If you would like, you may give in his honor to your favorite charity or church in his memory.
