Thomas E. "Tommy" Baker

Reverend Thomas E. “Tommy” Baker, age 87 of Abbeville, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Siloam Baptist Church.  Reverend Joey Boney will officiate.  Tim Harris will do a eulogy, Kyle Keene will provide a scripture and Greg Keene will do a prayer. Visitation will be one hour before the service at 10:00 AM-11:00 AM in the church. Interment will be in the Siloam Cemetery.

Mr. Baker was born on August 30, 1937 in Abbeville, Ga.  He was the son of the late Marvin Baker and Myrtice McDuffie Baker.  He was retired from Civil Service from Robins Air Force Base and was the Pastor at Siloam Baptist Church for 49 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish and spent time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Reba Baker, and a daughter, Terri Harris.

Survivors include:  son-Gene Baker (Claire), grandchildren, Dusty Baker, Jenna Addison (Jason), Rusty Harris (Leigh), Jordan Harris (Taylor) and Marcus Peacock (Rayna) and great-grandchildren, Jace, Jeb and Jax Addison, Gracie Baker, Townes Harris and 2 great-granddaughters on the way.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
