Thomas F. “Buddy” Brown, age 86 of Abbeville, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his residence.Funeral services were held at 5:00 PM Thursday, May 8th in the Cannonville Baptist Church.Visitation was one hour before the service from 4-5 PM in the church.Reverend Joel Owens and Reverend Jim Fairclothofficiated.Interment was in the family plot in the Cannonville Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born on February 11, 1928 in Rhine, Ga.He was son of the late Frank Brown and Mamie Sue Howell Brown.He was a self-employed carpenter.He was a member and deacon at Cannonville Baptist Church. Survivors include:wife-Neomia “Sis” Brown of Abbeville, son-Larry (Janice) Brown of Abbeville, brothers-Curtis Brown of Abbeville, Ted Brown of Lake Placid, Florida and Gene Brown of Rochelle, 1-grandchild-Brandy (Judd) Conner and 2-great-grandchildren-Rylan and Jacey Conner. Pallbearers were:Active-Mike Cook, Glen Cook, Tommy Stanley, David Brown, Aaron Brown and Caleb Brown.Nephews and a host of co-workers served as honorary pallbearers. Music was provided by Joni Wilson. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle had charge of arrangements.
