Reverend Talmadge Wilcox, age 83 of Abbeville,passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in the GeorgiaWar Veterans Home in Milledgeville.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 13th in the Kramer Baptist Church.Dr. Jim Toole and Reverend Ed Wilcox will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Antioch Cemetery. Reverend Wilcox was born on July 12, 1933 in Abbeville, Ga.He was son of the late John M. Wilcox and Emma Taylor Wilcox.He was a Baptist Minister having pastored from 1953-2015:Antioch BaptistChurch in Abbeville, Lebanon Baptist Church in Abbeville, Ruth Baptist Church in Cochran, Callie Garbutt Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, Zion Hope Baptist Church in Tifton, Enigma Baptist Church in Enigma, Irwinville Baptist Church in Irwinville, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca, Thompsonville Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC, Calvary Baptist Church in Danville, VA, Providence Baptist Church in Providence, NC, First Baptist Church in Rochelle,Kramer Baptist Church in Abbeville and Seville Baptist Church in Seville. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. Survivors:son-Eddie (Dianne) Wilcox, Jr. of Pitts, daughter-Deborah (Jim) Toole of Smyrna, sisters-Oppie Lee Roxy of Atlanta and Shirley Williams of Warner Robins, grandchildren-Angela (Daniel) Krueger, Joshua (Ashley) Wilcox, Caleb Toole and Ike (Varonika) Wilcox and great-grandchildren-Elijah, Ellie Grace, Luke and Ezra.
