Steve McBryant, age 65, of Pitts, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at his residence.He was a retired carpenter, an avid fisherman and hunter, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Cordele.He loved to garden and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steve was born October 14, 1955, in Ashburn, Georgia, to the late William and Betty Stewart McBryant.He is survived by his wife, Gay McBryant of Pitts; his son, Ryan Hall (Leigh) of Unadilla; his daughters Misty Whisman (Donald) of Arabi, Tracy Chatraw (Josh) of Raleigh, N.C.; his brothers, Donnie McBryant, and Darrel McBryant (Wanda) both of Pitts; his sisters, Cindy Jackson (Bruce) of Austell, and Linda Forth (Frank) of Cordele; and his grandchildren, Serah, Abigayle, and Emily Whisman, and Addison and Hudson Chatraw. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 31st, at 11: a.m. in New Hope Cemetery, (Crisp County), with Rev. Jerry Lavender and Chaplain Mark Hughes officiating.Jeremy King and Alex Clements will provide music. A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the gravesite. Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
