Stacy Johnson

Stacy Johnson, age 53 of 168 Airport Rd., Abbeville, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in the Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle.The Reverend Jim Faircloth and Reverend Tony Dixon will officiate. Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born on February 13, 1956 in Lowndes County having lived the greater part of his life in Wilcox County.He was son of Nell Cook Johnson and the late William J. Johnson.He was a retired Deputy Sheriff with the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office and was a School Dare Officer.He was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church, former member of the Abbeville Lions Club, and a charter member of the Rochelle Jaycees.He was a Rochelle Volunteer Firefighter. Survivors include:wife-Marla Johnson of Abbeville, mother-Nell Johnson of Rochelle, brothers-Bill and Scott Johnson both of Moultrie, sister-Mary Hauesler of Cordele, and 9 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, July 6 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Zack Bloodsworth, Jr., 247 Monroe St. East, Abbeville. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
