Shelby Jean Bloodworth, age 82 of Pineview, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 in the Houston Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 30th in the Friendship Baptist Church.Reverend Larry Wilbanks and Reverend Jerry Jarrell will officiate.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 2-3 PM in the church.Interment will be in the family plot in the Friendship Cemetery. Mrs. Bloodworth was born on March 8, 1937 in Pitts, Ga. (Pleasant View Community).She was daughter of the late James Pierce Thompson and Jewell Warren Thompson.She was a homemaker and member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served as former Sunday School Teacher and member and secretary of the W. M. U.She graduated as Valedictorian for the 1955 graduating class from Pineview High School.She was a member of the Taylor Regional Pink Ladies Auxiliary for over 27 years.She was preceded in death by a son-Stanley Bloodworth in 1973, a brother-Heyward Thompson and a sister-Ruby Rhodes. Survivors include:husband-Johnny Bloodworth of Pineview, son-Joey (Debbie) Bloodworth of Pineview, daughter-Dawn Bloodworth of Newnan, brother-Freddy (Sarah Nell) Thompson of Pitts, sister-Janice Cooke of Thomasville, sister-in-law-Martha Thompson of Pitts, brother-in-law-Thelbert Rhodes of Pitts, sister-in-law-Rose Graham of Kathleen, brother-in-law-James (Joyce) Bloodworth of Pineview, grandchildren-Steven (Jill) Bloodworth of Macon, Lindsey (Brian) Fincher of Dacula, Katie (Jared) Roberts of Broxton, 10-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
