Sara Jeanita "Jean" Walters

Sara Jeanita “Jean” Walters, age 72, of Tifton, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, in the Tift Regional Hospital.  She was a sales clerk for Hobby Lobby, and loved to read, and crochet.  She was a dog lover, and a Methodist by faith.

Jean was born May 11, 1950, in Cordele, Georgia, to the late Ernest Louis Kelly, Jr., and Sara Jeanita Clark Kelly.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Terry William Walters; and her sister, Mariana Murphy.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Walters of Jacksonville, Fla.; her brothers, Ernest L. Kelly (Diane) of Sycamore, and Clark Kelly (Hope) of Tifton; her sister, Tami Kelly of Tifton; a brother-in-law, Andrew Murphy of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 15 ^th , at 11:00 a.m. in Morningside Cemetery, with Rev. Craig Nalls and Rev. David Clark officiating.   Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the gravesite.
