Rochelle-Sandra Ann Caine, 67 of Rochelle, Georgia went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 3, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family and devoted caregiver. Ann’s going home service and celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rochelle.Private graveside service will follow at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.The Reverend Ralph Griffin will officiate. Ms. Caine was a charter member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rochelle.She was active in all aspects of the church, The Sharing Sunday School Class, Vacation Bible School, and WMU.She was a loving and generous Christian woman with enormous faith.She was indeed a devoted servant of the Lord.She enjoyed attending church, working in her flowers and sitting on her patio watching the humming birds and butterflies.She is retired from the Wilcox County School System with thirty two years of service as a lunchroom manager. Ms. Caine was born in Pitts, Wilcox County, Georgia on September 3, 1942, the daughter of the late Collis Evans (Granny) and Lois Crenshaw Britt.Forever treasuring her memory are her son, Paul Caine, daughters, Carla C. Parks, Debbie (Jimmy) Akin, and granddaughter, Beth Parks, all of Rochelle;her step-sons, Mitch (Sheryl) Luther of Abbeville, Scottie (Sandy) Luther of Fitzgerald and Mark (Jessica) Luther of Cordele; brothers, Coley (Myrt) Britt of Pitts and Charles (Sherrell) Britt of Hamlin, West Virginia; sisters, Vaudine McDaniel of Sylvester, Carolyn (T. O.) Benson of Blairsville, Charlotte (Robert) Ham of Dawson, and Barbara (J. C.) Hilliard of Eastman and many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Pepper. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Sidney Paul Caine and L. D. Luther, granddaughter, Sydney Akin, and sister, Jan Coker. A special thanks to her devoted caregiver and loving friend, Judy English.The family would also like to thank the staff of United Hospice of Cordele for the loving care and support that they gave to her and our family.Thank You All!
