Samuel J. Clements

Samuel J. Clements, age 86, of Rochelle (Owensboro Community), passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, in Crisp Regional Hospital, Cordele, Georgia.He was a retired truck driver for W.A. Reeves Trucking Co., an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a Baptist by faith. Mr. Clements was born December 2, 1933, in Rochelle, to the late Charles and Lyda Vaughn Clements.He was also preceded in death by his wife Sarah Murphy Clements. Survivors include his sons, Samuel J. Clements, Jr. (Janet), and Shane Clements (Courtney); his brother, Bill Clements (Rachel); his sister, Mary Clements (Derrel Talley) all of Rochelle; and his grandchildren, Laura and Kacey McWhorter, Jackson Clements III, Bailey and Haven Clements, and Ryleigh and Raelyn Farmer. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Clark officiating.Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, at Frazier and Son Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
