Sammy Driver

Sammy Driver, age 64 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 13th in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca.Rev. Bobby Davis and Rev. Chuck Taylor will officiate. Mr. Driver was born on December 17, 1949 in Fitzgerald.He was son of the late Leon Driver and Pearl Kato Mixon.He was a member of the Mt. Zuma Baptist Church in Abbeville.He had worked for Sapp’s Grocery in Abbeville for many years and did yard maintenance.He was preceded in death by his step-father-Julius Mixon. Survivors include:son-Andrew Driver of Rochelle and a brother-Curtis Jackson Driver of Abbeville. Anyone wishing to donate food to the family, please carry it to the Mt. Zuma Baptist Church Annex, 323 E. Cherry St., Abbeville for lunch for the family after the service on Saturday morning. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
