S. Durwood Warren

S. Durwood Warren, age 73 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at his residence.Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday November 3rd in the Pitts Church of God.Visitation will be one hour before the service at 2:00 PM in the church.Reverend Bobby Pope and Reverend Danny Rhodes will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery. Mr. Warren was born on May 20, 1940 in Pitts, Ga.He was son of the late Henry Warren and Maudie Willis Warren.He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of Vienna Church of God.He was a member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge #190 and the Wilcox County American Legion Post #71.He served his country with honor in the United States Army. A special thank you to the United Hospice for all their special care. Survivors include:wife-Mamie Warren of Rochelle, son-Shelby (Sandy) Warren, Jr. of Abbeville, daughters-Michelle (Greg) Lamb of Rochelle and Kathy (Wes) Bennett of Cordele, brother-Collins (Debbie) Warren of Jacksonville, Florida, sisters-Nancy (Al) Foster of Cobb and Mary Alice Maslar of Warner Robins, grandchildren-Kayla Johnson, Dani Warren, Micheal (Amber) McDuffie, Kiersten and Gillian Lamb, Garrett, Graham and Gatlin Bennett and 3-great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jay McDuffie. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the United Hospice. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
