Ruth R. Knight

Ruth Knight, age 69 of 403 North Depot St., Abbeville, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her residence.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 5th in the family plot in the Stubbs Cemetery in Abbeville.Reverend Tony Dixon will officiate. Mrs. Knight was born on January 24, 1944 in Milan.She was daughter of the late Miles Albert Reynolds and Lola Elizabeth Jones Reynolds.She was a retired Food Service Supervisor with the Department of Corrections, State of Georgia.She was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Knight in 2009 and her husband, Richard W. Knight in 2012. Survivors include:daughters-Lisa (Ronnie) Shawver of Winston Salem, NC ad Dawn (Eddie) Whitehead of Eufaula, Alabama, mother-in-law-Kathleen Knight of Abbeville, brothers-Bill (Nell) Reynolds of Eastman, Jack (Molly) Reynolds of Fort Valley, Johnny (Elaine) Reynolds of Eastman and Ricky Reynolds of Eastman, sisters-Hazel (Pete) Harrell of Macon, June Sheffield of Eastman, Janet Reynolds of Eastman and Jane (Sam) Sato of Lawrenceville, 5-grandchildren-Allison and Ron Shawver of Winston Salem, NC and Jase, Kody and Saylor Whitehead of Eufaula, Alabama and her beloved pet, Missy. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Abbeville First Baptist Church. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
