Ruel Lee Mckinney

Ruel Lee McKinney, 85, of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at his residence.He was born in Finleyson, on September 18, 1931.He was the son of the late Ruel Ridley McKinney and Neta Mae Meeks McKinney.He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Martin McKinney in 2015.He was the Founder of the King of Kings Christian Church and a self-employed farmer. Survivors include his three sons, Ruel R. McKinney of Abbeville, Frank McKinney of Pensacola, Florida , and Ralph McKinney of Abbeville;three daughters, Nettie Solberg of Ft. Payne, Alabama, Ruby Weaver of Abbeville, and Juanita Morrison of Fitzgerald; one brother, Robert McKinney of Loganville; three sisters, Ruby Baker of Abbeville, Wilma Barwick of Warwick, and Elma Allen of Pineview; 37 grandchildren, 144 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at King of Kings Christian Church, with interment in the family plot in the King of Kings Cemetery.Bro. Ruel R. McKinney, and Bro. Jonathan McKinney officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 26th in the King of Kings Christian Church from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
