Ruby Phillips Neighbors, age 86 of Abbeville, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 30 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Chuck Taylor and Reverend Rodney Gibbs will officiate.Interment will be in the Stubbs Cemetery. Mrs. Neighbors was born on November 16, 1923 in Pitts, Ga.She was daughter of the late Leonard Brooks and Mattie Jane Coker Brooks.She was retired from Saybrook Manufacturing Company in Cordele and was a member of Amboy Baptist Church.She was widow of the late Roy Phillips and Beauford Neighbors.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pearl Payne. Survivors include:sons-Arthur Phillips of Sylva, N. C., Dennis Phillips of Abbeville, and Charlie Phillips of Cummings, daughters-Dorothy Gibbs of Abbeville and Barbara Keen of Ashburn, 14 grandchildren and 19-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, April 29 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
