Royce W. Rhodes, age 82 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 1st in the Pleasant View Baptist Church.Reverend Jimmy Black will officiate.Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Rhodes was born on January 17, 1935 in Pitts, Ga.He was son of the late George T. Rhodes and Doris Davidson Rhodes.He was employed at Robins Air Force Base in Supply and Distribution as an Inspector.He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.His hobbies were:an avid koon hunter, racing go-karts and liked southern gospel music. He was preceded in death by 2-sisters, Geneva Marshall and Joyce Powers. Survivors include:wife-Jamie Rhodes of Pitts, sons-Steve Rhodes of Ashburn and Stan (Sonja) Rhodes of Pitts, brothers-Thelbert Rhodes of Pitts, Willie (Shirley) Rhodes of Pitts and Billy (Peggy) Rhodes of Acworth, brother-in-law-James Powers of Pitts, sister-Margaret (Sue) Cranford of Macon, 5-grandchildren and 5-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, July 31st in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be:Ritchie Rhodes, Mark Rhodes, Kenny Cranford, Harris Rhodes, Matt Rhodes and Ben Rhodes. Sharon Lavender will play prelude and postlude and a CD-Beulah Land will be played. Frazier and Son Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
