Rouse Lamb

Rouse Lamb, age 85 of 850 Scenic Route, Cordele, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 9th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service in the funeral home from 1-2 PM.Reverend Jay Moore and Reverend David Fisher will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in Morningside Cemetery with Military Rites. Mr. Lamb was born on April 10, 1929 in Abbeville, Ga.He was son of the late Dodson Wallace Lamb and Lula Smith Lamb.He was of the Baptist Faith.He was a member of the Wilcox County American Legion Post #71.He was a lifetime member of the DAVand served his country with honor during World War II in the United States Navy. Survivors include:wife-Mary Lamb of Cordele, sons-Wallace (Denise) Lamb of Rochelle, Donn (Shirley) Lamb of Hull, Iowa,Ken (Linda) Lamb of Eden and Kenny (Harriet) Sheffield of Cordele, daughters-Kay (Chuck) Gordon of Vienna and Karla (Jimbo) Parker of Warner Robins, brother-Ruben (Jessie) Lamb of Rochelle, 14-grandchildren and 18-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Friends of Morningside Cemetery, P. O. Box 156, Rochelle, Ga. 31079. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
