Ronald L. Tanner

Ronald L. Tanner, age 70 of Abbeville, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Phoebe-Dorminy Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 31st in the Cannonville Baptist Church.Reverend Chuck Taylor and Reverend Tim Moorhouse will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Cannonville Cemetery. Mr. Tanner was born on September 7, 1943 in New Castle, Indiana.He was son of the late Harrison Tanner and Marie Riall Tanner.He was a Machinist with Eaton Plastic Company and a member of Kramer Baptist Church.He was a former member of the Abbeville City Council.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Tanner in 1996. Survivors include:wife-Shelia Tanner, sons-Casey Tanner, Ullie Tanner and Ronald Tanner, daughters-Rita Freeman, Brigitte King and Lucy Saywer, brothers-Paul Tanner, Kenny Tanner, Jimmy Tanner and David Tanner, and sisters-Betty Richardson, Patricia King and Anna Marker. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, January 30th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
