Roger C. Smith, age 63 of 18319 Hwy. 129, Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the Medical Center Navicent Health.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 5th in the Cedar Creek Cemetery where the interment will be in the family plot.Visitation will be after the service at the cemetery.Jerry Rhodes and Reverend Larry Banks will officiate the service. Mr. Smith was born on March 27, 1951 in Hawkinsville.He was son of the late Joe H. Smith, Jr. and Grace Jones Smith.He was General Manager for the Sanders & Corporation and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include:wife-Sara Smith of Abbeville, mother-Grace Smith of Pineview, sons-Joseph Keene of Rochelle and Coby Smith of Tifton, daughter-Denise Carter of Pitts, 4-grandchildren and 1-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be:Rex Bullock, Marty Bloodsworth, Jeffrey Portivent, Edwin Clark, Russell Herrington and Dennis Rhodes. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
