Robert "Dub" Mcclain

Robert “Dub” McClain, age 88 of 176 Watson Rd., Pitts, Ga., passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 PM Saturday, January 12th in the Union Baptist Church.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the church before the service.Reverend Buford Tanner and Reverend James Spires will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery with military honors. Mr. McClain was born on October 13, 1924 in Pitts, Ga.He was son of the late James H. McClain and Cleer Thompson McClain.He was a retired self employed carpenter. He was a school bus driver with the Wilcox County School System for over 20 years.He was a member of the Union Baptist Church and had served his country with honor in the United States Army. Survivors include:wife-Sadie McClain of Pitts, daughters-Diane (Charles) Walker of Pitts, Janie (Glenn) McDuffie of Abbeville, Robbie (Mike) Farrow of Pitts, Janet (Terry) Barefoot of Pitts and Janice (Donnie) Clark of Rochelle, sisters-Vernell Gordon of Rochelle and Geneva Nobles of Pitts, 13-grandchildren and 14-great-grandchildren. Music will be provided by Barbara Dorough and a grandson, Colton Farrow. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
