Robert M. King

Robert M. King, age 88 of 723 Christian Home Rd., Pitts, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 11th in the Christian Home Baptist Church.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pitts Cemetery. The procession will be escorted to the cemetery by the Patriot Guard Riders. Mr. King was born on April 11, 1926 in Pitts.He was son of the late Henry L. King and Mamie Stanton King.He attended Christian Home Baptist Church.He was a retired Rural Mail Carrier with the U. S. Postal Service.He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during World War II.He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth King, second wife, Louise Stubbs and a son, Ronnie King. Survivors include:son-Jimmy (Sharon) King of Pitts, daughters-Barbara (Eddie) Baker of Brunswick and Melody (Scott Dent) Wilkerson of Pitts, grandchildren-Kristy King, Holly Sneed, Amanda Newell, Kristen Newell, Randy Wilkerson, Richard (Kelly) Dunagan, Danny (Amanda) Dunagan, Christopher (Lauren) Dunagan, 12-great-grandchildren and 1-great-great-grandchil. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, April 10th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. The family may be contacted at the residence of Holly Sneed, 119 Pine St., Rochelle, Ga. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
