Robert M. Carter, age 86 of Pitts, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 26th in the Union Cemetery with Military Honors.Visitation will be after the service.Reverend Larry Wilbanks will officiate. Mr. Carter was born on May 20, 1932 in Lumber City, Ga.He was son of the late Henry Monroe Carter and Mamie Moseley Carter.He was a C. P. A. and Director of Finance, Clayton County and Bank of Atlanta.He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Arita Carter on April 12, 2018.He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force for 22 years. Survivors include:sons-Michael Carter of Gainesville, Florida, Phillip Carter of Pitts, Paul Carter of Brunswick and Doug (Denise) Carter of Pitts, sister-Erma Graham of Albany, 10-grandchildren and 5-great-grandchildren.
