Ralph L. Walker, age 78 of Rochelle (Owensboro Community), passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the funeral from 1-2 PM. Reverend Rob Cravens will officiate and a eulogy will be given by Charles Walker.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Walker was born on April 6, 1940 in Abbeville, Ga.He was son of the late Charlie Walker and Hattie Mae Stewart Walker.He was a self-employed farmer.He was a member of the Georgia Farm Bureau, the National Watermelon Growers Association, the Peanut Growers Association and the Georgia Cotton Commission.He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Fitzgerald Walker, 2-brothers, Charles Dan Walker and Mack Walker, 3-sisters, Berniece Blackstock, Neva Tedders and Betty Mae Dennard. Survivors include:sons-Johnny Lendon (Lourdes) Walker of Rochelle and William Walker of Perry, brothers-Mitchell Walker of Rochelle and Grady Walker of Perry, Florida, sisters-Christine Hardy of Perry and Annette Kennedy of Rochelle and a grandchild-Miriam Fitzgerald Walker of Rochelle.
