Raleigh J. Gibbs

Raleigh J. Gibbs, age 78, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his residence.  He was technology technician with Robins Air Force Base, a 50-year member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge #190, a member of the American Federation of Government Employees, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was also a member of the National Rifleman’s Association and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Raleigh was born March 8, 1944, in Owensboro, Georgia, to the late Raleigh V. Gibbs and Celia Richey Gibbs.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, J.L. Gibbs, and his wife, Ruby Davis Gibbs.  Survivors include his sons, William R. Gibbs, and Luke J. Gibbs (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Bentley C. Ammons, William R. Gibbs Jr., Boaz J. Gibbs, and Celia R. Gibbs.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 16 ^th , at 2:00 p.m. in the M.G Frazier Memorial Chapel, with Rev. David Clark officiating.  Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
