R. C. Taylor, age 83 of 55 Reeds Crossing, Rochelle, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 6, 2009 in the Pine City Church with the Rev. Carlton Webb and Rev. John Nunes officiating.Interment will be in the Pine City Cemetery with Military Rites. Mr. Taylor was born on May 15, 1926 in Laurens County having lived all his life in Wilcox County.He was son of the late Joseph Henry Taylor and Eula Jane Presley Taylor.He was a Machinist and was retired from Inland Container in Macon.He was a member of the Pine City Church and served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II.He was preceded in death by 2-sons-Cecil Wayne Taylor in 2007 and Bobby Taylor in 1982. Survivorsinclude:sons-Larry (Patricia) Taylor of Sycamore, Dan (JoAnn) Taylor of Sycamore, and Richard (Frances) Taylor of Rochelle, daughter-ShirleyT. (George Clark) Wilcox of Warner Robins, sister-Eliza Jane Hulette of Byron, 12-grandchildren and 20-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
