Preston D Wooden, age 64 of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 28 in the Christian Hill Freewill Baptist Church.Reverend Wayne Martin and Reverend Dan Hollomon will officiate. Mr. Wooden was born on July 17, 1946 in Chester, Ga. having lived in Rochelle since 1989.He was son of the late Durrell Wooden and Emma Hobbs Wooden.He was a retired Log Transporter for numerous companies. He was a member of the Christian Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include:wife-Faye Jacques Wooden of Rochelle, son-Chase Preston Wooden of Albany, daughters-Gail (Monty) Slocumb of Macon and Tina (Curtis) Davis of Macon, brother-James Wooden of Jonesboro, sisters-Adel (Buddy) Hollomon of Macon, Kadel (Wilt Brown) Wooden of Eatonton, Judy (Jerry) Clance of Macon, Karen Howard of Macon and Diane (David) Royal of South Carolina, sister-in-laws-Joyce Marie (John) Tarver of Slidell, Louisiana, Shelly Jacques of Slidell, Louisiana and Bonnie Jacques Adams of Slidell, Louisiana, brother-in-law-Rodney Jacques of Slidell, Louisiana, 6-grandchildren-Blake Little of Jeffersonville, Anna Baltimore of Roberta, Jonathan Slocumb of Macon, Dusty Deaton of Macon, Cody Kaegi of Macon and Christopher Lord of Macon and 3-great-grandchildren-Jordyn Little of Jeffersonville, Kyle Deaton of Macon and Jacob Little of Jeffersonville. Visitation will be Monday, December 27 from 7-9 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
