Philip W. Mitchell, Sr.

Philip W. Mitchell, Sr., age 81, of Rochelle, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at his residence.  He was a native of Wilcox County, and had a passion for heavy equipment.

Philip was born March 23, 1942, in Rochelle, to the late James Henry Mitchell and Edna Gibbs Mitchell.   He is survived by his son, Philip Mitchell, Jr. (Kay); his daughters, Kristene and Kassie Mitchell; his sisters, Ann Wood (Joel) and Marlene Fickes; 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 31st, at 11:00 a.m. in the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Martin, and Rev. Jacob Martin officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Christian Hill Cemetery.
