Peggy D. Martin, age 76, of Pitts, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021, in the Presbyterian Home, Quitman, Georgia.She was a homemaker, who loved quilting, cross-stitching, and crafting, gardening and mowing grass.She also loved to travel and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan, and adored her grandchildren. Peggy was born November 12, 1944, in (Pineview) Finleyson, Georgia to the late John Morris Mashburn and Benny Jewell McKinney Mashburn.She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn McCullough (John) of Woodbine, and seven brother and sisters;She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Martin of Pitts; her son, George Woods (Cathy) of Chula; her daughter, Cindy Vardeman (David) of Lake Park; her step-daughters, Julie Newman (Adam) of Cordele, and Laura Goff of Tifton; a brother, Bob Mashburn (Pixie) of Pineview; a sister, Kay Fisher (Bill) of Palm Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren, Dylan Brown, Caleigh McCullough, Seven Woods, Logan Woods, Ashlyn Woods, Gage Hall, Meagan Haghshenas, Leigh Walker, Grace Force, Halle Newman, and Ansley Newman; five great-grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews. A visitation will be Sunday, February 28th, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Presbyterian Home, 1901 West Screven St., Quitman, GA 31643 Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
