Peggy D. Dykes

Peggy D. Dykes, age 65 of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2014 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 17th in the Abbeville United Methodist Church.Reverend Debbie Coneofficiated.Interment was in the family plot in the Cannonville Cemetery. Mrs. Dykes was born on April 4, 1949 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late C. D. Jones and Alice Craft Jones.She was employed by the Wilcox County State Prison as a Food Service Manager.She was of the Baptist faith and had currently been attending Abbeville United Methodist Church. Survivors include:husband-Gary Dykes of Abbeville, son-Kelly Dykes of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania,daughter-Sherry Dykes of Abbeville and a granddaughter-MaKayla Dykes. Visitation was from 6-8 PM Saturday, August 16th in the funeral home. Pallbearers were:Eddie McKie, David Keen, Jimmy McKinney, Terry Gibbs, Danny McBryde and Alton Stevens. Music was provided by Rhonda Henderson and Clay Holmes. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
