Osco L. Bennett

Mr. Osco L. Bennett, age 102 of Pitts, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in the Union Baptist Church with Rev. Buford Tanner, Rev. Tommy Land & Rev. Steve Clifton officiating.Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery. Mr. Bennett was born on August 8, 1914 in Pitts.He was son of the late Miles A. Bennett and Ida Elkins Bennett. He was retired Liberty National Life Insurance Agent and farmer.He was a member of the Union Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Bible Sunday School Class. He was a Deacon Emeritus and former Church Treasurer. He was preceded in death by his wife Lonelle Braziel Bennett. Survivors include -Son – Ronny (Francine) Bennett of Cordele, Daughter – Glenda (Wayne) Molton of Monroe. Grandchildren Wes (Kathy) Bennett of Cordele and Shannon (Alan) Maddox of Loganville. Great Grandchildren - Garrett Bennett, Graham Bennett, Gatlin Bennett, Taylor Maddox and Jacob Maddox. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Union Baptist Church % Jerry Rhodes, 1075 Dozier Road, Pineview, GA 31071 Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2017 from 6-8 PM in the Funeral Home.
