Onie Addison Fisher, 95, of Abbeville, Ga., passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Shady Pines Assisted Living Home.She was born on June 22, 1919 to the late Lon and Grace Addison.She was a devoted member of Siloam Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending.She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and she easily maintained numerous life-long friendships.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred D. Fisher, her grandson, Ken Fisher, brother, Elmer "Boo" Addison, sister Tommie, and son-in-law, Wayne Baker. She is survived by her six children:Charles (Elaine) Fisher of Abbeville, Rev. David (Ok Cha) Fisher of Hayesville, Charlotte (Joe) Rustin of Abbeville, Pat Baker of Douglas, Glenn Fisher of Louisville, KY, Jim (Dona Sue) Fisher of Valdosta; her grandchildren:Greg Fisher, Gayla Adcock, Will (Heather) Rustin, Jon (Deleah) Baker, Leigh Ann (David) Walden, Mark (Jennifer) Fisher, Mike (Angie) Fisher, and Jimmy Swope;her great-grandchildren:Kendall Adcock, Thomas Adcock, Claire Walden, Abbie Fisher, Meagan Baker, Ethan Fisher, Addie Walden, Landon Baker, Levi Fisher, Ava Grace Rustin, and Owen Fisher; sister, Frances Williamson, brother-in-law, Wendell Fisher, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Siloam Baptist Church, Abbeville, with Rev. Tommy Baker and Rev. David Fisher officiating.Her body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.She will be buried next to her beloved husband, Alfred, in Stubbs Cemetery.Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM at Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle.The family extends its appreciation to the staff of Shady Pines Assisted Living Home for the generous, loving care given to their mother while a resident there. Grandsons, Greg Fisher, Jon Baker, Will Rustin, Mark Fisher, Mike Fisher, Thomas Adcock and Jimmy Swope, will serve as pallbearers. Music will be provided by Glenn Fisher, her son and Kay Dorsey, her niece. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
