Olivero B. Chapa, Sr. age 64 of 4971 High Rocks Rd., Pitts passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2009 in the Pleasant View Baptist Church.Rev. Curtis Driver will officiate.Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Chapa was born in Stanton, Texas on September 22, 1944.He was son of the late Ildefonso Chapa and Josefa Benivedes Chapa.He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and was a self-employed farm laborer.He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Lidia Chapa, brothers-Ildefonso Chapa, Jr. and Arnold Chapa and a sister-Herminia Quintanilla. Survivors include:sons-Olivero Chapa, Jr. of Pitts and Gilbert (Sandy) Chapa of Pitts,daughters-Rachel C. (James) Terry of Pitts and Julie C. (Rick) Ramos of Ft. Worth, Texas, sisters-Gloria (Ernest) Garcia of Brady, Texas, Sylvia Ramirez of Americus, and Mary (Alejandro) Vargas of Falfurias, Texas, and 7-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Friday, July 24 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
