Norman Cohen

Norman Cohen, age 75 of Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in the Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.Dr. Napp Granade will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Cohen was born on August 31, 1941.He was son of the late N. M. Cohen and Della Statham Cohen.He was a farmer and Chief of the Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department.He was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church where he served as deacon and church treasurer.He was instrumental in organizing the Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department in 2004.He was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Alice Cohen in 2006, 2-brothers-Bob and Ralph Cohen and a sister-Jeanette Cohen. Survivors include:wife-Patricia Cohen of Abbeville, sons-Mitch (Lorri) Cohen of Cumming and Phleet Cohen of Abbeville, sister-Patsy Rooks of Warner Robins and grandchildren-Tyler (Emily), Bryce, Doster and Mary Thomas. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, September 2nd in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
