Norma Ruth Layfield

Norma Ruth Layfield, age 58 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Cordele Health and Rehab Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 3 in the Pitts Church of God.Reverend Adam Tripp and Reverend Jim Rogers will officiate.Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Ms. Layfield was born on April 13, 1952 in Cordele, Ga.She was daughter of the late Oscar Layfield and Susie Belle Bohannon Layfield.She was a member of the Pitts Church of God.She was a graduate of Wilcox County High School and South Georgia Tech.She was a retired case worker with Crisp County DFACS. Survivors include:brothers-Duce Layfield of Tallahassee, Florida and Howard Layfield of Arabi, sister-Vernelle Timmons of Cordele and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday, May 2 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements
