Mitch Luther

Mitch Luther, age 65 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at his residence.  Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 9th in the Cannonville Baptist Church.  Visitation will be one hour before the service in the Church.  Reverend Chuck Taylor and Reverend Joel Owens will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Cannonville Cemetery.

Mr. Luther was born on February 2, 1959 in Fitzgerald, Ga.  He was son of the late L. D. Luther and Carolyn Dent Luther.  He was a member at Cannonville Baptist Church and retired employee of D. O. T. with the State of Georgia.  He was currently employed with Timberland Products. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish and liked to cook and grill out.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by first wife, Sheryll Luther, a daughter, Brandy Rottman, 2 sons, Tim and Jason Weston, and 5 grandchildren, Kayden Luther, Baby Rottman, Kelby Weston, Robbie Chick and Zach Chick.

Survivors include:  wife, Karen Luther, sons-Matt Luther (Sherrie) Zach Luther (Shelly), Shannon Weston and Holden Rottman (Allie), daughters, Amanda Chick (Robert) and Michelle Anderson, brothers, Scottie Luther (Sandy) and Mark Luther (Michelle), grandchildren, Lila Rottman, Mackenzie Luther, Dallas Luther, Nathon Watson, Tylor Simmons, Mathew Simmons, TJ Chick, Aron Chick (Alex) and Brandi Chick, great-grandchildren, Mollie Chick, Beau Chick, MaKayla Chick, Amelia Chick, Hunter Crawford and Savannah Crawford.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
