Mildred B. Henderson, age 89 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Chula, Ga.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31st at 2:00 PM in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 PM in the funeral home.Reverend Tony Dixon and Reverend Jim Faircloth will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Fitzgerald. Mrs. Henderson was born on April 22, 1928 in Rochelle.She was daughter of the late Henry Lee Brown and Hattie Hunter Brown.She was retired from Abbeville Pharmacy and was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church.She was a former member of the Abbeville City Council and former treasurer of the Wilcox County Library Board.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Henderson. Survivors include:sons-Earl (Charlene) Henderson of Chula and Mike (Annie) Henderson of Lake City, Florida, 3-grandchildren and 7-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be:James Rhodes, Michael Henderson II, Clay Henderson, Keith Rucker, Andrew Keen and Todd Henderson. Rhonda Henderson will play prelude and postlude.The congregation will sing “It Is Well With My Soul” led by Julie Rucker. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
